The Vatican has released an English copy of Pope Benedict’s new letter regarding the lifting of the excommunications of the four “Lefebvre” Bishops. After weeks of one-sided, media views on the Pope and his decision, it’s time to let the Pope speak for himself.

Once more the world has united in attacking Pope Benedict XVI. Instead of seeing what he did as an act of mercy and reconciliation, they mistake his lifting of the excommunications of the four bishops of the Society of St Pius X as approval of one Bishop’s denying the holocaust.
